It's goin' down in the Hip Hop Club!


Permission forms are due on Friday Oct 15 at 3:30pm.  Remember that you need to have the signature of your teacher and your parent or guardian before you bring in your form.  Don't sign your own name until you hand it to Mr. Ball.

Hip Hop Club

Basic Information

Hip Hop Club will be divided into FOUR groups.  

Grade 4A

Grade 4B

Grade 5

Grade 6

Your group rehearsal will be held once every 2 weeks using our school's 5 day, 2 week schedule (Week 1/Week 2).  


The schedule may change in the future, but we will start with


Week 1  Day 1      Group 4A
Week 1  Day 2      Group 5
Week 2  Day 1      Group 4B
Week 2  Day 2      Group 6


Each group will have three teams: Team A, Team B, Team C.  

Each Hip Hop Club rehearsal will include THREE stations.

1.  Rhyming

2.  Microphone technique (MCing)

3.  DJ skills (beat selection, control and flair)

Each week your team will be at one of the three stations and you will work on that element for that rehearsal.  The following rehearsal you will rotate to the next station.  At the end of three rehearsals you will have visited each station.  


Remember that we will be producing a live performance!  You are going to be on stage in front of your friends, family, teachers and the entire Rawlinson Community, so you need to practice as much as you can!  The more effort you put forth, the better your show will be!
